This week we have been learning how to use "I agree" or "I disagree" statements during group discussions. It is important to give a reason to support what you think by using "because" so people know why you think that.
Lets start a discussion and try to use "I agree" or "I disagree" statements.
Should chickens be allowed to live in our classroom? Why do you think that?
I THINK IT WOUDNT GO WELL BECAUSE THEY WOULD MAKE MESS.

I disagree because they will scratch the mat. When Mr Janse says "what is 10 - 5?" then the chickens will say "cluck, cluck".

I think the chickens shouldn't live in the classroom because they would distract the children. By Cara
ReplyDeleteGreat comments guys. Thank you to those people who have started the discussion off. Keep it up Room 16.
ReplyDeleteI disagree because we might not hear what Mr Janse is saying. Also, they might poo in the classroom. Lily
ReplyDeleteI dissagree that we can have chickens in the classroom because
ReplyDeletewe might get roosters so we should'ent have chickens in the
classroom.
I disagree that chickens should live in our classroom because they would be clucking all of the time and they might distract people when they are working at their desk. I think that they should live somewhere outside.

I think the chicken's can live in our class because they will help us learn about the things they can do. from Luke
ReplyDeleteI agree and disigree with luke, chickens could be in the classroom to make us lern about them but then we could put them out side because they will be noisy inside.
